Continual agitation for preparation for war is likely to bring the awfulness of war upon us, and_ I believe it to be the duty of every true Christian to bear testimony against "the spirit o° enmity between individuals and nations. The thinking and talking about the likelihood « a possible war in the near future breeds the spirit of fear, and tends to destroy in our j hearts the Christ spirit of love, joy, hope and international good will.
