CROWDS IN IRELAND.
Military Summoned To Wild Scenes At Tralee. BLUE SHIRT LEADER HIT. (United P.A.—Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 1 p.m.) LONDON, October 8. There were wild scenes at Tralee at the United Ireland party convention, which necessitated the summoning of the military from Cork. A hostile crowd gathered outside the hall and the delegates were forced to fight their way through.
General O'DufFy was hit with a blunt weapon ancl blood streamed down his face. Motor cars were overturned, and one was set on fire. Mr. Cronin was also assaulted.
The Civic Guard was unable to cope with the disorders.
