MOTOR CYCLE NOTES.
TESTS AT MURIWAI,
With a strong wind behind' them, I riders registered good speeds in the Auckland Club's tests at Muriwai on Sunday. The tests were held mainly to try out the new electric timing apparatus mad£ by a member of the club. It worked perfectly, and will be used again in later tests. i: Some of the best speeds rccord'ed were: H. Matthews (Royal Enfield), 78 m.p.h.; G. Howlett (Velocette), 72 m.p.h.; P. Matchett (8.5.A.), 90 m.p.h.; P. Clarkson (A..T.5.), 04 m.p.h.; A. Moore (A.J.S.), 02 m.p.li.; ,T. Johnson (Norton), 73 m.p.h.; W. Batty (Douglas), 42 m.p.h.
