COUNTERFEIT COIN CHARGE.

WEIXINGTON ALLEGATION.

WELLINGTON, Monday.

Two relief workers, William George Hart, aged 43, and William Babbage, aged 47, were charged before Mr. W. F. Stilwell, S.M., to-day with uttering a counterfeit coin. They were remanded until October 4. Bail of £25 was allowed.

Detective-Sergeant Revell said accused were both residents of Wellington. They issued a number of coins to paper sellers 011 Saturday night, and detectives found in their possession moulds for making coins.
