GIRL RESCUED.

WAIROA DWELLING BURNED,

ESCAPE IN NIGHT CLOTHES.

WAIROA (H. 8.), Monday

. Fire early this morning destroyed the six-roomed residence of Mr. Clyde Hill at Homeleigh, about eight miles from Wairoa. The building was well ablaze when the fire was discovered.

The inmates escaped in their night clothes. A little girl aged eight years was rescued with difficulty. Nothing was saved. The building was insured for £050 and the furniture and effects for £250.
