TO-DAY'S SALE,

SHEEPSKINS FIRM; HIDES DULL,

At to-day's sale of sheepskins and hides there was a full attendance of buyers, representing local tanners and shippers. Competition for sheepskins was brisk and last sale prices were fully maintained, but hides were rather dull of sale and many lines failed to rearh owners' reserves. Following are to-day's quotations, the letter (p) indicating that the line referred to was passed unsold: —

Sfheepskins.—Dry: Fine crossbred, r Ad per lb; medium crossbred, 6%d; coarse crossbred, sd; half to three-quarter wool, 5%d; quarter to half wool, 4'/2d; quarter wool, lambs, 6%d; pelts, 3d.
