DRIVER SENT TO ROTOROA.

'Charges of being drunk in Karangahape Road yesterday, and procuring liquor while prohibited, were brought against a driver, Thomas Albert Holt, aged 41, in the Police Court this morning. Holt pleaded guilty.

Detective-Sergeant O'Sulliven said this was Holt's fourth breach of his prohibition' order.

Mr. Noble, who appeared for Holt, said accused had some teeth extracted yesterday, and unfortunately took some brandy after he had come out of the anaesthetic. He was a good worker and was unable to pay a fine.

Mr. Wyvern Wilson remarked that Holt had "been before the Court on nine occasions this year. It appeared that lie could not lielp himself. He would be committed to Rotoroa Inebriates' Island for a period of two years.
