MONTREAL, September 28.

A Boston message says that lack of the necessary funds to purchase things vital for the safety of his men is proving a serious hindrance to the Antarctic expedition of Rear-Admiral Byrd. He said that, he required a few thousand dollars more, otherwise, "we will not go." Despite this, he said he was confident the money would be raised and the present plans carried put.
