Armed Assault on Man in

Belfast. ' VICTIM'S HOUSE RAIDED. (Received 12.30 p.m.) LONDON", September 22. Three men fired five shots at a Mr. Newall and liis son James at Belfast, then esoaped in a motor car driven by a woman. The father's macintosh was pierced in two places, but he escaped injury.

Last year two armed men raided the Newall house, and refused to recognise the subsequent sentence of 18 months passed on them by an Antrim Court, as .they were soldiers of the I.R.A.
