FRENCH DETERMINED.
ARMAMENTS " SHOW DOWN." LONDON, September 6. The Paris correspondent of the "News-Chronicle" says that rigid inspection and control of armaments is now the bedrock French policy for the Disarmament Conference. So seriously is the rearming of Germany regarded in France that if Germany refuses to accept such control France undoubtedly will tako steps to bring matters to a head, with or without the support of the other Powers.
