CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING. FIRST QUALIFYING ROUND. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. The first of the two qualifying rounds in the North Auckland golf championship was played this morning. The weather was glorious and the Mount Denby links were in splendid condition. C. Bailey, a Mount Denby player, returned the best card, a gross 73. Jounneaux, jun., one of the youngest players taking part, showed the best net score of 66.
