RAJTGATJRA'S FAST TRIP. A fast trip, which went eloso to breaking the record, was made by the Rangatira on her voyage to Wellington from Lyttelton on Tuesday. She left Lyttelton at 11.15 p.m., and arrived in Wellington at 7.55 a.m. yesterday. Her steaming time was S hours 26 minutes, which is ton minutes over the record time established by her on the night of March 11 this year, when she reached Wellington after a trip of 8 hours 16 minutes from Lyttelton. Before that the record had been held by the Wahine since December 24, 1924, her time for the journey being 8 hours 21 minutes. The Rangatira is reported to have made 21.67 knots on her trip to Wellington on Tuesday.
