D'Artagnan Working Well. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star ") TE AWAMUTU, this day. The course proper was available 9ft out for fast work this morning, and some attractive work was witnessed. The other tracks used-■ were the hurdle, middle grass and plough. King'e Knave was first out, being accompanied by Spearwin over four furlongs in 545. They finished together. L'ampanero alone, strode niceiy over five furlongs in 1.5 4-5. He had a lot in hand. Kanapa -was allotted three furlongs,>Tvhicb he completed io 40 2 : 55. -D'Artagnan finished ahead of • Impasto i at the conclusion of five furlongs in 1.6, the first two taking 25 ]-ss. Marechal and Jonathan covered half a mile in 52 1-os. Marechal is working in a' free manner at present. Loombination and the Lapir dary gelding were together; at the end of three furlongs run in 40 l-ss. Tray Bit. alone, moved pleasingly over two furlongs, taking 28 l-ss. Others doing pace work were Knight ot Australia, Lucidus, Te Taua, Minulus. Wait and See, Kurapea, Kopurere and Musquil. . ■ .
