This would mean an annual saving of 2,000,000 rupees to India. Opponents of the change point out that India would lose heavily in salt tax arid income tax. Aden was detached from Bombay Presidency and formed into a separate province with a chief commissioner under the direct control of the Government of India from April 1, 1932. y
