With £29 brought in there is £8811 available. From this £2000 has been transferred to cover depreciation of stocks, which have been conservatively valued at £210,724. The directors recommend that the balance should be dealt with as follows: —Payment of preference dividend, absorbing £3715; transfer to accident insurance reserve, £2000; transfer to bad debts reserve, £1000; the balance, £96, to be carried forward.
