THE EPSOM BOUTS
At the Epsom carnival last Saturday in ■the heavy-weight bout, won by R. Douglas, the loser'was Kenneth, not M. Antonovicli. Antouovich had sprained a knee in traming and his place was taken by Kenuetli. WALKER BEATS PATTERSON. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) T.IMARU, Ibis day. In a rough wrestling bout last night "Walker defeated Patterson in the sixth round, when the American was disqualified for the repeated use of illegal tactics. Walker eecuml the first fall with a toehold, to which Patterson submitted, but Patterson evened with a fall in tlie next with a half-nelson and body scissors. Patterson repeatedly threw Walker over the ropes and when disqualified attacked the referee, until Walker intervened. After the referee had left the ring the men continued to struggle until Walker knocked Patterson out. The crowd booed him and showered pennies into the ring.
