HARRIERS.
TECHNICAL OLD BOYS,
The Technical College Old Boys' Athletic Club held a harrier run at Three Kings.
from the home of Mr. A. White, the wellknown harrier. There was a muster of nearly 40 runners, who broke up into two packs. The course set was one of at least ten miles, over most exacting country. The run was voted a bilge success, despite the fact that at times the harriers had to take their way through swamp up to their armpits. light their way through raupo, wade through water waist high, and then splash across the water-logged country. They presented a sorry sight when they returned. Dawson showed up well in the slow pack, and has promise of a bright future. Adams and Dennett ran consistently in the fast pack. I'elham and Nicholson showed particularly fine form. The run resulted as follows :— Slow Pack.—Dawson 1, Adams 2, Dennett 3, N. Laird 4. Fast I'ack.—l'elham 1, Nicholson 2, Bar kcr 3, White 4.
