SEAMAN REFUSED BAIL.

ALLEGED THEFT OF GOODS. A seaman, Stanley Eugene Gibson, aged 2S, appeared before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in tho Police Court this morning oil a charge of breaking and entering the stoic of George Henry Hosking Dale, Oneliunga, on June. 21 and stealing tobacco worth £10 0/ and other goods, of a total value of- £14 7/3. On the application of Detective-Ser-geant O'Sullivan, Gibson was remanded to appear at Oneliunga on July 5. Hail was applied for, but the magistrate refused the application.
