There was spirited competition at the Brisbane wool sales to-day, and prices were fully 10 per cent above last week's. The chief operators were Japan, Yorkshire and the Continent, and to a lesser extent the United States. THE PRICE OF GOLD. LONDON, June 27. Gold is quoted at £0 2/2 per ounce.
