STATE LIFE INSURANCE. YEAR'S CASH SURPLUS £197,587. Tile Government Life Insurance Department lias issued tlie bonus notice for the year ending December 31, 1932. It says: "In common with other financial institutions. the Department's activities have been affected during the past year by the difficult times through which we are passing. Nevertheless, satisfactory progress lias been made and a cash surplus of £197.587 has been allotted to the policy holders, which, under the circumstances, can only be regarded as highly gratifying." For the previous year the amount divided among policy holders was £228,016 and in 1931 £224,145.
