VISITOR'S PLUCK PRAISED.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) SUVA, June S. Last night the Lilac Theatre was packed, witli a wildly excited crowd to see Bill Heritage, of Rewa, meet Tat George, tlie New South Wales heavyweight champion, in eight rounds. Heritage won 011 a foul in the fourth round. The weights were, George 12.4, Heritage 11.8. In the first round Heritage swung a lightning-like right and caught George 011 the jaw, which was broken in two places. In spite of this, George fought on. In the fourth round Heritage was visibly tiring, and thp contest ended as it had started, dramatically, by Referee Halstead declaring Heritage the winner on a foul. Heritage has been fighting for years, and is now 2S years old. He has never meet Ben Valentine, the Fiji champion, as they are blood relatione. Both men are half-castes. George showed great, pluck, and would probably ihave won but for the foul.
