UNIVERSITY DANCE.
The annual (lance of the commerce students of tlie Auckland. University took place 011 Saturday evening in the College Hall. The chaperones were:— Mrs'. M. R. O'Shea, in bottle grefen nin,on; Mrs. H. Belshavty palma violet satin faille; Mrs. L. W. Holt, cream souple satin; Miss E. M. Bourne, black crushed crepe. The ladies' committee comprised Mies Vaughan Gunthorpe, who wore a gown of deep pink lace and netredged bolero, and Miss 'Marjories Gray, in gold and apricot shot taffeta. Among those present were:—Mrs. Rodwell, in black ring velvet; Mrs. H. Butler, butter toned ninon and la/te; Mrs. L. C. H. Dawson, black lace over ciel blue satin; Miss Jean Thompson, pastel pink crepe satin; Miss Nonie Quinnell, lavender georgette; Mies Jean Bunker, ivory georgette; Miss J.
