ENGLISH F.A. TROPHY. AUCKLAND ENTERS CHALLENGE.' The Control Board of the Auckland Football Association , last evening decided to enter a challenge to play the winner o£ the Otago v. Wellington match for the F.A. Trophy, the interprovincial premiership. * . The New Zealand Council submitted conditions for the prospective tour of Australia by a team of primary schools' representatives. A sub-committee was set up to confer with the minor division of the association on the subject. Suggested amendments to the rules governing the competition for the Flyger Cup, for players under the age of 21 years, between Wellington and Auckland, were forwarded by the Wellington Association, and were also referred to the minor division. Following on several complaints from players of loss of gear, the lack of adequate dressing accommodation at some of the grounds was discussed, and the matter was left to a sub-committee to deal with. Of the 27 entries for the Chatham Ctip competition throughout New Zealand, only two are from Auckland clubs, namely, Tramways and Ponsonby. Mr. A. Menzies",' a life-member of the association, received a warm welcome upon his recovery from his various serious illnesses. The French Naval sloop Sargomoa de Brazza, which is on a cruise of the Pacific, should arrive in Auckland on June 3, and, if it has a team on board, as expected, a match will be arranged for it.
