MINERS' DENIAL.
NO TROUBLE «BREWING." (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CJHRISTCHURCH, this day. Officials of the West Coast coal miners' organisation deny Colonel Holgate's statement ■ that trouble is brewing there. As a conference was arranged tentatively for the end of this month to discuss the engine-drivers' agreement, they thought it opportune to discuss a new agreement for the whole industry at the same time, the main agreement having expired.
