MATERNITY CASES.

HOSPITAL ARRANGEMENTS. At a meeting of the Auckland Hospital Board yesterday, new proposals for the treatment of maternity cases were received from the Director-General of Health, Dr. M. H. Watt. It is proposed to make St. Helens Hospital the centre for treating all cases previously admitted to the Auckland Hospital, with one exception, and also to make the former hospital a centre for ante-natal work. It is further proposed to treat as many cases as possible in private homes, and the board was asked to .provide transport for a St. Helens district eister.
