LATE LETTERS.
RAILWAY STATION FACILITIES A number of complaints having been received by the Auckland Chamber of Commerce about the absence of facilities ■to post late fee letters at the Auckland railway station post office, and the inconvenience occasioned to those desirous of posting such letters on the train, when they arrive at the station before the train has been shunted into the departure platform, the matter was taken up with the chief postmaster. The chamber has now received word from the chief postmaster that arrangements have been made to enable the public to post correspondence in the late fee box to connect with the "Whangarei, Tarieatua and Rotorua expresses. The box, which will be opened, at 8 a.m., will be cleared at 8.30 a.m. for the Opua express, leaving at 8.40 a.m.; at 9 a.m., for, the Taneatua express, leaving at 9.8 ajn.; and at 10 a.m., for the Kotorua express, leaving at 10.10 a.m.
