ANZAC DAY OBSERVANCE.

I read the letter of "Late 4/1081, N.2.E.F-," about games on Alizac Bay, and I quite agree with his sentiments. New Zealanders should not have to 'be reminded of tlio keeping of Anzae Day. Some have proposed to transfer this day of mourning to a Sunday. How soon they forget what this day, the 25th of April, means to the thousands who suffered t' ia '' they might still 'be a free people! I think tho'returncd men should be up in arms against this suggestion, but some- of them are themselves offenders. I notice that ex-servicemen of Kawakawa held a dinner on Anzac Day. I think this does not show a very good example to the rising generation. * A DIGGER.
