MINIATURE RIFLES.
WHANGAREI CLUB. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAKEI, this day. The Whangarel Miniature Eifle Club conducted another shoot last evening, when the second of the series of self-handicap events lor the Buckley Trophy was fired. Six members over-estimated their handicaps and were consequently penalised, two points for every one over the possible. \V. B. Stock, C. Baker and Miss A. Primrose each nominated tho correct handicap, but tho first named, witli 97 oft the rillc, accounted ror the evening's trophy. Several ladies took part, Miss Primrose (!>3> and Miss G. Kuddell I'Jl) Hbooting particularly well, the former taking the ladies' trophy. A shoot was also held for the A nnd B grade roosters, results being:—A grade: M. Stewart 07, \Y. Stock 00, W. Norris 112. B grade: L. James S3, P. 'Wilson 83, tt. .leunings 70. Best shoots for the Buckley trophy were:—W. Stock, 07, 3—100: Miss A. Primrose. 93. 7—loo ; C. Baker, 00, 4— 100; J-:. M. Clark, 87. 12—09; A. Bcvington, 84. 10—90; Miss Whitehouse, S4, 10—Olt.
A team from the following will be selected to represent the club in the Tisdall (.'up competition conducted under tho auspices o£ tlie New Zealand MjniaturcKiflo Association and iired on home ranges: N. C. Shepherd, 11. Cowper, J. Norris, M. Stewart, W. B. Stock, S. Withers, A. Anjrclo. C. ]•:. Kobortß, C. Baker, i*. K. Lowe, \V. Boreham iindlL Ashton.
