LATE RACING.
HORSES FOR AUSTRALIA. MR. W. T. HAZLETT'S TEAM. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") DUNEDIN, this day. Mr. W. T. Hazlett's team, Ruling Light, Irish Chieftain, Gold Kay, Shining Gold, Paris, and the two-year-olds Sir Simper, Dazzling Light and Kindly Light, ill charge of F. J. McKay, are booked to leave the Bluff this afternoon for Australia.
NOTES FROM ELLEKSLIE. HURDLES ON COURSE PROPER. In view of the near approach of the Great Northern meeting, hurdles will lie erected on the outside of the course proper at Ellerslie to-morrow morning, giving trainers an, opportunity to school their horses on the ground over which they will have to race. It is understood that Thespis will be brought in from Takanini and will be put over these hurdles. RIDING ENGAGEMENTS. Riding engagements for the To Kuiti meeting during the week-end are:—A. Murray, Tarporley, Sweet \V hisper, Searcher and Queen Nassau; J. Burgess, Thespis; T. Chaplin, Triahna; G. Jenkins, Princess Bede, Tahae Mea; 11. Wiggins, L'Allegro, Gigantic, Musgo, Prince Val.
