ASSAULT ON GIRL.
In the Supreme Court yesterday afternoon, before Mr. Justice Smith, Arthur Edward Wallace, an engineer, aged 33, was found guilty of indecently assaulting a girl aged nine years, and ten months. To the verdict the jury added a strong recommendation to mercy. Sentence was deferred.
