The annual trials of the Hobson Sheep Dog Trial Club commenced In the Northern Wairoa yesterday in fine weather. The lons head resulted :—P. Clotworthy's (liamo) Lynn, 43 points, 1: R. N. Newman's (Kamo) Ivep, 42J points, 2 ; F. Clotworthy's (Karao) Rye, 42 points, 3; F. R. Massey's (Wnlrere) Sharp, 41i points, 4. Bromwicli Cup. for most points (Hobson County only).—J. Studlioline's (Arapohue) Rock 1. Maiden Trophy.—D. Fergas' (Maungaturoto) Spy, 3(5 points, 1. Novice Trophy.—AV. A. Thomas' (Maungaturoto) York, 351 points, 1.
