OBITUARY.

MR. ALFRED M. OTTON.

A very early resident of Napier, Mr. Alfred Mitchell Otton, died in. Auckland on April 25, aged 87 years. He was born at Islington, England, and as a young man went to Australia. Seven years later he came across to New Zealand, and was in as a saddler. Mr. Otton in his was a volunteer, was interested in "i^ndly" society work, and a past-president of the Working Meirs Club at Napier. Mr. Otton leaves a widow and the following family: Messrs. Alf (Auckland), Sid. (Napier), and Frank (Auckland), Mesdames L. Green (Marton), S. Pinkerton (Masterton), G. Garner (Auckland), V. Day (Auckland), and E. K. Bromley (Napier), 28 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
