Tlio English amateur g:>! f final was played at Cheshire, J. Woollum defeating the ex-champion, Bourn, by 4 up and 3.
Woollum, wlio is 28 years of age, won the title after one of the worst exhibitions of golf ever seen at a championship.
Bourn found it so difficult to get the fairway that lie drove six provisional balls during the match, and found serious trouble with five successive tee shots.
