LABOURER SENT TO GAOL.
Leslie Clyde Munro, aged 26, labourer, who gave himself up to the Newton police recently, pleaded guilty in the Police Court this morning to charges of converting a motor cycle valued at £60 to his own use at Whakatane on April 11 and stealing a motor cycle valued at £30 at Waitara on April 1.
Detective-Sergeant McHugh said Munro stole one cycle and brought it to Auckland, where he placed it in a motor cycle shop. Later" he told the police where it was and it was recovered. The other he converted to his own use and "later abandoned. He had previously been convicted for unlawful conversion.
On each charge Munro was sentenced to three months' imprisonment, the terms to :bc cumulative.
