SHIPPING NEWS.

WANGANELLA IN PORT. TARANAKI FROM LONDON. The berth at the Queen's wharf vacated by the steamer Mariposa, which sailed for Sydney and Melbourne on Monday afternoon, in continuation of her voyage from San Francisco, is now occupied by the motor ship Wanganella, which arrived from Sydney this morning witli 182 passengers. Four other overseas ships are due at Auckland before the end of the week. The motor ship Taranaki, from Loudon, expects to arrive to-morrow to discharge at the Prince's wharf, but the Waikawa, from Los Angeles, via Papeete and Earotonga, is being delayed by rough weather and now expects to arrive on Friday morning, to discharge at the Queen's wharf. Also due at Auckland on Friday are the steamer Golden Eagle, from Los Angeles, to discharge at the King's wharf, and the tanker Pegasus, from San Francisco, to discharge at the Western wharf.

UNION CO.'S STEAMERS. The Waimea is to sail for Gisborne and Napier at 5 p.m. to-day. The Waimarino docked this morning for cleaning and painting. She is to return to the Prince's wharf to-morrow morning, and sail for Wellington, Picton, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Oamaru and Timaru at noon on Friday. The Gabriella leaves Greymonth to-mor-row for Wellington and Auckland. The Kaimiro left Greymouth for Auckland yesterday morning. The Karetu arrived this morning from Suva and berthed at the Queen's wharf. The Wesrport Coal Company's steamer Canopus, which had been barbound at Westport for a week, left there yesterday morning for Auckland, where, she is due on Friday morning.. The cable steamer Recorder is to sail at 9 a.m. to-morroW for Sydney, to repair that end of the New Zealand-Australian cable. In continuation of her voyage from San Francisco, the Oceanic Line passenger steamer Mariposa sailed for Sydney and Melbourne on Monday afternoon. With passengers, mails and cargo from Sydney, the Huddart-Parker motor ship Wanganella arrived at Auckland this morning, and berthed at the Queen's wharf. TANKER PEGASUS. An expected arrival at Auckland on Friday morning is the Swedish tanker Pegasus, with bulk motor spirit from San Francisco, for discharge at the Western wharf. THE GOLDEN EAGLE. *' A berth at the King's wharf has been allotted to the O. and O. Line steamer Golden Eagle, due at Auckland from Los Angeles on Friday morning. From here she •is to go to Wellington and Australian ports to complete discharge. TARANAKI TO DISCHARGE. Due at Auckland from London at 10 a.m. to-morrow, the S.S. and A. Line motor ship Taranaki is to discharge the local portion of her cargo at the Prince's wharf. The remainder is for Wellington. WAIKAWA DELAYED.
