COOK IMPRISONED.
VALUELESS CHEQUE ISSUED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Sentence of six months' imprisonment was imposed, on Frederick Charles Danby (36), a cook, who pleaded guilty to obtaining £6 11/ by false pretences from a furniture company by means of a valueless cheque.
