ANNUAL CONFERENCE.
I GATHERING IN AUCKLAND.
OVER 100 DELEGATES EXPECTED,
It is expected that in addition to the many Labour members of Parliament there "will be over 100 delegates from outside the province in Auckland this •week-end to take part in the annual conference of the New Zealand Labour party, which will open, at the Trades Hall on Monday. Mr. W. Atkinson, vice-president, "will preside.
Labour members who will be present are the Leader of the Opposition, Mr. H. E. Holland, and Messrs. P. Eraser (Wellington Central), C. JL. Carr (Timaru), P. Langstono (Waimarino), J. McCombs (Lyttelton), R. Semple (Wellington East), D. W. Coleman (Gisborne), E. Jones (Dunedin South), W. E. Barnard (Napier), E. J. Howard (Christchurch South) and J. W. Munro (Dunedin North). Also coming north are Mr. W. Atkinson, vice-president of the party, and Messrs. J. Roberts and L. Glover, who represent the Waterside Workers' Federation. Mr. J. Thorne, national secretary, and Mr. T. Wilson, assistant secretary, arrive in Auckland to-morrow (morning. A public meeting will be held in Prince Edward Theatre on Sunday evening, and on Monday the conference will begin at the Trades Hall. On Wednesday evening next a reception to delegates will be given at the Labour Hall, Karangahape Road.
