DEATH IN ENGLAND.
NOTED NOVELIST'S WIFE. LONDON, April 9. The death has occurred of Mrs. Edgar Wallace, widow of the famous novelist. Before her marriage Mrs. Wallace 'was private secretary to the famous novelist, maintaining the poet until the birth, of her daughter. Her husband used to say that ehe was the first and last judge of his plays and books, once scrapping a novel of 100,000 words on the strength of her disapproval. She hold a post unique among' women when she became manager of the Apollo Theatre, London, on its direction being taken over by her husband. Among other interests, Mrs. Wallace was an owner and breeder of racehorses.
