THAMES BAND.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) THAMES, Sunday. The Sixth Hauraki Regimental Band, under the baton of Lieutenant A. Clarke, has been practising assiduously for several weeks for the Easter contest at Hamilton, and has made exceptional progress. The band played a selected programme, including the test selections, at Rhodes Park this afternoon, and should give a good account of themselves at the forthcoming contest.
