TROTTING.

NORTHLAND CLUB. TO RACE AT CAMBRIDGE. A TWO DAYS' MEETING. The Northland Trotting Club has been granted permission to hold ite annual meeting this year on the Cambridge course, and the date has been fixed for Monday, May 8, which means that owners who patronise Cambridge this year will be provided with a two days' fixture, as the Cambridge meeting will be held on Saturday, May 6. Recently overtures were made to the Auckland Trotting Club by the Northland Club for permission to hold the latter's annual meeting at Alexandra Park, but the request was refused. The officials of the Northland Club then approached Cambridge, and were met witli every courtesy and assistance, and the fact that the fixture will now extend to two days should be of material assistance to both bodies. The Northland programme is now being considered.
