TO RETIRE SHORTLY.
DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON", this day. It is definitely announced that Mr. T. B. Strong, Director of Education, will retire on superannuation within a few weeks. - Born in.. London in IS7I, Mr. Strong was educated at the Waimate District High School and the Otago University. He was appointed an inspector of schools under the Wanganui Education Board in 1904 and was senior inspector in thgit district in 1915. He was appointed chief inspector of New Zealand primary schools in 1920 and was given the position of Director of Education in 1927.
