DISPATCH OF MAILS.
The postal authorities stated this afternoon that mails for the South were being dispatched from Auckland this afternoon and evening, and would proceed as far as the two expresses went— Taumarunui and Frankton. No advice has been received as to the time of arrival of the north-bound mail. It ie stated, however, that letters will be sorted into private boxes in Auckland within an hour of receipt.
