ANNIVERSARY MEETINGS.

The Northern Waikato Bowling AssociaV Ol^ 8 . , a mpionship pairs tourney was held at Pukekohe. Thirty pairs took part. Following were the section winners:—Young anc ! Barriball (Waiuku), McKenzle and Whiteside (Waiuku), Wyatt and Short (Pukekohe), D. Roulston and Bish (Pukekohe). The semi-finals and final will be played at Waiuku on Saturday. The association's B pairs tourney was played at Waiuku. Two sections of six pairs each were played. One was won by Mcintosh and Hayes (Waiuku) and the other by I. Ingram and Burrows (Pukekohe). The final will be played at Waiuku on Saturday,. The final of the Howden Shield competition and the South Auckland Bowling Centre's rink championship was decided at the Hamilton East green, when Te Awamutu (T. W. Gee, G. F. Smith, W. J. North and J. W. Hawkins), beat Glen Massey (A. Connew, W. Giraud, D. McFarlane and H. Morris), by 22 points to 14. A full-rink tourne.v was held by the Frankton Bowling Club, there being 16 entries. Baker (Frankton) beat Noonan (Te Awamutu) in the section A final and in the section B finals McFarlane (Ngaruawahia) beat Lucas (Frankton) and de Sargy (Uutaruru) beat McFarlane.

In the final Baker Beat de Sargy by 12 points to 10.

Fifteen teams competed in the full-rink tourney held by the Whitiora Bowling Club. Fiddes (Frankton Railway) was the winner with 5 wins. The Cambridge Bowling Club's anniversary week-end rinks tournament was concluded, the winners being Garrard, Ward, Lundy and Easter, with 4 wins and 1 loss. The other summarised results were:— Edwin, James, Boulton. W. Wilkinson, 3 wins, 2 losses; N. Hill, Ba.vliss, Edgar, James, 2 wins, 3 losses; Wooldrldge, 1 win, 4 losses. A Smith-Clark Shield game played at Cambridge on Saturday resulted :—Cambridge, holders (Ltindon, Edgar James, A. Pearce, S. James) 23, v. Ngaruawalila (Johnstone, Blewdcn, Rowe, R. McFarlane) S.
