YESTERDAY'S TOURNEYS. MANY CLUBS HOLD EVENTS. Thirty teams took part In the Auckland Bowling Club's annual Anniversary Day tourney. Splendid weather and good greens made for a very successful function. Five rounds of 12 heads were played. The section winners were: —A, Jury (Ponsonby) ; B, Muston (Auckland) ; C, Robert? (Balmoral); D, Burrows (Waitemata); E, Allen (Remuera). In the inter-soctlon' play Muston beat Allen. Jury will meet Burrows to-morrow evening and the winner will play Roberts to find the finalist against Muston. The Neilson Memorial Cup competition, the annual Anniversary Day fixture of the Onehunga Bowling Club, attracted an entry of 14 teams. The competition was divided into two sections. The final game resulted: Mawson, Bell, Wallace, 11. A. Robertson 11, v. McMaster, Smith, Munro, E. J. Gatland 9. A full-rink tourney was held by the Mount Eden Bowling Club, resulting in a tie between Daisley, Cornes and Hull wirti four wins each. In the semi-final Cornes beat Daisley and will meet Hull in the final on Saturday. A very successful tourney was held by the Carlton Bowling Club, 22 teams competing. E. Jones won outright with six wins. H. Josey was runner-up after a play-off with J. Duncan and W. Perry. Fifteen teams competed in a full-rink, tournament held by the Mount Albert Bowling Club. In Section A, Edmunds I Stevens, H. Dawson, R. Thomas won with five wins. In Section B, Lounden, Harris J. Maxwell, B. Harbutt and Stewart, Tomlinson, Sage, Higginbotham tied with four wins each. In the play-off Harbutt was successful. The final will be played at a later date. A full-rink tourney was held by the Ellerslie Bowling Club, 12 teams competing. Section A was won by Westbrooke with five wins, while Hay won section B with five wins. The final will be played at a later date. A progressive pairs tourney was held by the 1 onsonby Bowling Club, 28 teams competing. Among the • skips Bryant and Gilmour tied with five wins, while Hutchison was the successful lead. . A „ full-rink tournament was controlled by the Epsom Bowling Club. Section A was won by Sunderson, who defeated Richmond in a play-off, while Section B was won bv fcurnell. in the final FurneU beat Sanderson.
