Safe Bank -had Loombination as a companion while traversing seven furlongs in 1.36. Safe Bank, who is a lazy track worker, was being kept up to his work. The Plough.—Lucidus placed a useful five furlongs behind on this track in 1.15, the first half in 49 l-Os. This fellow is putting a lot o£ dash into his work and can be relied upon to give a good display in the Plate at Takapuna. King's" Knave, in company with Trislma, placed six furlongs past in 1.17. King's Knave had. the advantage at the peg and as he was easing •up he could have improved upon his time. Soloist, alone, ran three furlongs in 395. Others doing pace work on this track were : Kuri, Sea Kuler. Tenakoe, Spalpiko, Bain•ury, Emancipation, Arawa Rose. Eager ptose and Sir Musk.
