YESTERDAY'S DISPLAY.

MANY TYPES OF HATS. A galaxy of fashion was again to be seen on the lawns at Ellcrslie yesterday. The day began with cloudy skies, but that only threatened heat, and in consequence there were a large number of beautiful frocks of light material worn. Among the colours, red had a decided place, blue was seen in quantities, and white, that suitable colour for summer wear, was there in abundance. Some of the most attractive frocks were of organdie, and here and there were other cottons, which looked charming on the younger people, With the trimmer styles, smart little turbans were worn, and narrow brimmed straws accompanied the silk suits.
