CHRISTMAS CHEER.
CITY RELIEF WORKERS.
Christmas parcels for families of * number of relief workers employed by the City Council have been distributed by the Mayoress, Mrs. G. AY. Hutchison, during the present week. Money for the gifts was provided by the Auckland Commercial Travellers and Warehousemen's Association, and there was also a contribution from the Farmers' Trading Company.
At is was not possible to make gifts to all families, it was decided to restrict them to workers with four or more children. The Mayoress has been unable to get in touch with a number of families entitled to the gift paroels, as some of them have recently changed their addresses. In the meantime the parcels are being held at the Town Hall. Workers qualifying for the gifts, who have not received them by to-night, may call at the hall and make application for them.
