AUCKLAND PETITIONS.
REPORTS OF COMMITTEES, j (By Telegraph.— .Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, ths day. Another instalment of Auckland petitions was reported upon by Select Committees in the House yesterday. In the case of Mary Pilling, 01 Auckland, who asked for the enactment of legislation to enable her to reopen certain Court proceedings, the petition was referred to the Government for favourable consideration, the committee expressing the opinion that the legislation asked for should be introduced, so that there could be a retrial of the questions involved. The Defence Committee had no recommendation to make on the petition of Gerald Joseph Holt, of Auckland, for a pension for liis wife and children on account of war disabilities. The application for a Avar pension of John E. Ramsey, of Auckland, was referred to the Government for favourable considerable claim of Samuel Turkington, of Auckland, for an inquiry into alleged false representation made in legal documents was referred to the Government for consideration.
