PERSONAL.
Commander B. Moorhouse, R-N (retircd), of Cambridge, is in Auckland at the Station Hotel. Mr. T. G. Phelps, a Victorian grazier, who lias been holidaying in the Dominion, left by the Aorangi to-day. Mr. E. C. Cutten, S.M., left for the South by the Limited express last evening. He will return on Wednesday. Mr. E. A. Ford, manager of the Auckland Transport Board, left for Sydney by the Aorangi this afternoon, on holiday. Lieutenant J. W. Barry, N.Z. Staff Corps, has been appointed Officer-in-Charge Waikato Camp, Ngaruawahia, and retains the appointment of Ordnance Officer, Northern Command, according to the New Zealand Gazette. Mr. R. A. Cornish, president of the Auckland Master Builders' Association, left for Wellington yesterday afternoon as assessor in the Dominion carpenters' and joiners' dispute. Mr. T. Bloodworth, secretary of the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters and Joiners, also went to Wellington in connection with the dispute.
