NEW POSITION.

M. HENRI VERBRUGGHEN. NEW YORK, November 3. A message from Minneapolis states that M. Henri Verbrugghen, founder and conductor for eight years of the New South Wales State Conservatorium of Music, and conductor of that State's. Orchestra and Choir for five years, whose connection with the Minneapolis Symphony was severed in 1931 owing to illness, has been engaged as chairman of the department of music, Carleton College, Northfield, Minnesota. He is to join the faculty next September. M. Verbrugghen will sail shortly for Belgium, where he will stay pending his assumption of his new duties.
